ACTIVITY 2: READ THE TEXOMA TIMES
activity 3: EVIDENCE AND WITNESS STATEMENTS
Allocate 1 witness statement to each member of your team. Divide up a single POSTER PAPER sheet into 6 equal parts. In the left-hand column write down the name of the 3 Plaintiff witnesses at the top of each box. In the right-hand column write down the name of the 3 defendant witnesses at the top of each box. Now read the witness statement you have been assigned and make notes on each of the witnesses on your A3 sheet. Don't expect to understand everything at this stage, it is like a jig-saw puzzle and the pieces will slowly start joining together!!!

Background: These clips come from the 2019 State Final. The case concerned a ransomeware attack on a hospital that resulted in the death of a elderly man due to being given a drug that he suffered an allergy to. The witness being examined is the chief technology officer of the hospital Lane Parish who was responsible for trying to get the hospital computers back up and running following the attack.
