By the end of this enquiry you should be able to explain the difficulties that Queen Elizabeth faced in ruling England, the things that helped her and dilemmas she faced
1. Would you have made a good Tudor adviser?
- I am going to present you with a series of dilemmas. Work with a partner and decide what you think the best option would have been.
- You start with 10 crowns and will win or lose more during the game. Be warned! If you lose all your crowns then you will have your head chopped off.

- We will now read through page 57 and discuss how well we think Elizabeth dealt with the marriage issue.
- Add into your table the things that could be praised or defended about Elizabeth's marriages decision and what could be criticized
- Read over pages 58 & 59 for Religion, Use of JPs and Privy Council, and Plots
- Use the information on pages 60 & 61 for the Spanish Armada
- And, read through pages 62 & 63 for the lst three challenges

- You are now going to use your notes to help you complete the activity on page 63, which is a speech designed to be given to the new king, James I
