The Development of nationalism In India

Indian develops roughly in line with Hroch's 3 Phases of Nationalism

1800 - 1880 - Phase A - Cultural Activism
1880 - 1920 - Phase B - Political Activism
1920 - 1945 - Phase C - Mass Mobilisation

Although these are broad phases and the dates are a guide more than a set period we do see the development of Indian Nationalism in line with this taxonomy.
