THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION, 1917
The Russian Revolution of 1917 was one of the most explosive political events of the twentieth century. The violent revolution marked the end of the Romanov dynasty and centuries of Russian Imperial rule. During the Russian Revolution, the Bolsheviks, led by leftist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, seized power and destroyed the tradition of csarist rule. The Bolsheviks would later become the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
WHAT: The overthrow and murder of the Russian Monarchy by the Bolsheviks
HOW: Investigating the 'Russian Revolution, 1917' using a secondary source documentary.
WHY: To understand how Russian suffering & starvation in WW1 started a Revolution there.
HOW: Investigating the 'Russian Revolution, 1917' using a secondary source documentary.
WHY: To understand how Russian suffering & starvation in WW1 started a Revolution there.
This work should be completed by Wednesday 27th May. It should take you roughly about 1 hour.
You should work through the tasks below.
You should complete 2 tasks;
1. Watch the 50 minute documentary on 'Russian Revolution, 1917'.

Consolidation tasks - Please complete at least one of the following tasks
2. Create a document explaining WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY about the Russian Revolution.
3. Complete the Timeline challenge
4. Create a graphic novel telling the story of the Russian Revolution
Once you have completed both tasks you should send your work (Document that answers to all 5 "handy" questions) via email to your history teacher or upload to Teams assignment if you are using this platform
