Resistance to the holocaust
WHAT: Was there any real resistance to the Holocaust?.
HOW: To build knowledge and understanding of successful and unsuccessful acts of resistance.
WHY: To understand the reactions of victims to the final stages of the Holocaust and to appreciate the value of historical testimony.
This work should be completed by Thursday April 9th (2 weeks) . It should take you roughly 2 hours. You should work through the tasks below in your own time and pacing.
You should complete 3 main tasks;
1. Read the following article and watch the attached videos. Make notes on successful and unsuccessful acts of resistance.
2. Read the sources in the second document and add to your notes on successful and unsuccessful acts of resistance.
3. Answer the question: “There was no real opposition against the Nazis treatment of the Jews” do you agree?
Once you have completed all tasks you should send your answer to the questions (task 3) via email to your history teacher or upload to Teams assignment if you are using this platform..
